Christopher Long – SBS Charlotte, General Manager
Chris has been advising small and medium businesses in accounting and software systems since 1998. As a former CFO and Controller, he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by these organizations. With firsthand experience working in manufacturing, government contracting, distribution, and accounting Chris has helped many companies achieve business success through the use of accounting technology.
Chris is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Master of Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Finance. In 1997 Chris passed the CPA exam and in 1998 became a successful Certified Public Accountant candidate in North Carolina. Following his passion for accounting and software systems, Chris decided to use his experience as a CFO to begin helping other businesses realize the benefits of using advanced software systems to automate accounting, distribution, and manufacturing and in 1999 founded the company which eventually became SBS Charlotte.
Alison Martin – SBS Charlotte, Manager – Professional Services
Alison has been working as an ERP consultant since 2003, focusing primarily on Microsoft Dynamics GP and Acumatica ERP; but also supporting and converting from smaller accounting solutions such as Peachtree and QuickBooks. Her consulting experience ranges from pre-sales analysis and project management, to implementation, training, and technical and accounting support. Alison’s enthusiasm has only intensified as accounting collided with technology and the use of ERP software has become so important and prevalent.
Alison graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech, with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Prior to working with SBS Group - Charlotte, she was the Accounting System Administrator for a multi-national manufacturing company, and a consultant for the Technology Risk Consulting group at Arthur Andersen. She is Microsoft certified in Dynamics GP and SQL Server 2008. Her breadth of knowledge with the many stages of implementing ERP software and across numerous industries has been key to many successful implementations. Her passion is identifying and solving complex accounting system issues introduced to our clients by the rapidly changing business environment.
